Installation Instructions
-
Preparation:
- Inspect the pump for damage and ensure all parts are present.
- Verify the motor voltage matches the power supply.
- Check pump and motor alignment before installation.
-
Foundation:
- Mount the pump on a stable, flat surface to minimize vibration.
- Secure the pump with anchor bolts if required.
-
Piping Connections:
- Connect suction and discharge pipes with appropriate gaskets and seals.
- Support pipes to avoid strain on the pump connections.
- Install a check valve and isolation valve on the discharge side.
-
Priming the Pump:
- Fill the pump casing with liquid to ensure proper priming.
- Use a vent valve to eliminate air from the pump casing.
-
Electrical Wiring:
- Wire the motor following local electrical codes and standards.
- Ensure the motor is properly grounded.
- Check motor rotation to confirm it matches the direction indicated on the pump casing.
-
Startup:
- Open both the suction and discharge valves.
- Start the motor and monitor the pump operation.
- Check for leaks, vibrations, or unusual noises.
-
Final Adjustments:
- Adjust the flow and pressure using the discharge valve.
- Do not throttle the suction side to maintain efficiency.
-
Regular Maintenance:
- Periodically inspect the pump and motor for wear or damage.
- Lubricate bearings as per the manufacturer's recommendations.
