To guarantee safety during the use of an Ozone Generator, activate the system when the space is unoccupied. The Crystal Quest Ozonator is equipped with an easy-to-use timer to assist with safety and will shut the system down prior to reentry. Please allow at least one hour for the ozone to dissipate before space is reoccupied.

0.2% of ozone is a significant level; this is why ozone concentration is measured in Parts Per Million (PPM).  It only takes 3-4 PPM to kill off all germs, including  Bacteria, and Viruses. When inhaled, ozone can damage the lungs. OZONE GENERATORS SHOULD BE USED AT A MAXIMUM OF 8 HOURS PER DAY.

Crystal Quest® Ozone Systems and COVID-19

At this time, no one can say for certain that ozone is effective in killing the novel coronavirus COVID-19, as it is simply too early and no peer-reviewed studies have yet been conducted to support or confirm this.

However, we know that ozone destroys other viruses by diffusing the gas through the protein coat of the cell into the nucleic acid core and damaging the RNA of the virus. While healthy cells have complex enzyme systems for protection, viruses have no such protection against oxidative stress which makes them vulnerable to ozone.
