One housing, nine ways to fix your water

The Whole House System (Single Stage) is the simplest way to put filtration on your main water line. One full-size 5 inch by 20 inch cartridge housing protects every tap, shower, and appliance in the home. You choose the single cartridge that matches the problem in your water, and replacing it later takes minutes.

Crystal Quest has engineered and manufactured its own water filtration systems in the USA since 1994, under an ISO 9001 certified quality management system, using NSF/ANSI certified components.

Choose your cartridge by what is in your water

  • Sediment: depth-style cartridge that traps dirt, silt, sand, and rust particles that cloud water and wear out appliances.
  • Carbon Block: solid carbon cartridge for chlorine taste and odor, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), pesticides, herbicides, and industrial solvents.
  • SMART: our broadest multimedia cartridge. Blends two types of coconut shell granular activated carbon (including catalytic carbon) with oxidation-reduction alloy media, anion exchange resin, and ceramic and tourmaline balls. Reduces chlorine and chloramine, heavy metals, pesticides and herbicides, and pharmaceutical byproducts while supporting a more alkaline pH.
  • KDF + GAC: oxidation-reduction media paired with granular activated carbon for chlorine, water-soluble heavy metals, and hydrogen sulfide taste and odor.
  • Iron & Manganese: media bed selected to reduce dissolved iron and manganese, the source of orange and black staining and metallic taste.
  • Lead: lead-selective media with carbon to reduce lead along with chlorine taste and odor.
  • Arsenic: arsenic-selective adsorption media for wells and supplies with elevated arsenic.
  • Fluoride: fluoride-selective adsorption media to reduce fluoride.
  • Alkalizing: remineralizing media that raises pH toward alkaline and improves taste.

Who this system is for

Pick the Single Stage when you have one clear water problem on city water or pre-treated well water, or when you want whole-house protection on a budget with the option to step up later. If your water has two or more problems, the 2 Stage system lets you pair a pre-filter with a main cartridge, and the 3 Stage system adds a polishing step.

What is included

  • Full-size 5 inch by 20 inch filter housing with mounting bracket
  • Your selected filter cartridge, installed
  • Optional powder-coated steel floor stand (select With System Stand)

Frequently asked questions

How often do I change the cartridge?

It depends on the media you choose and your water usage. Sediment and carbon cartridges typically go 6 to 12 months; multimedia cartridges typically go 12 to 24 months. Your water quality drives the real interval.

Does it need electricity or a drain?

No. This is a cartridge system: no electricity, no backwashing, no drain line.

Will it drop my water pressure?

The full-size housing is sized for whole-house flow. Keep the cartridge fresh and pressure loss stays minimal for a typical 1 to 3 bathroom home.

Can I change what it filters later?

Yes. Every cartridge option fits the same housing, so you can switch media at any cartridge change.
