How the finder works and what it does with your answers.
How does the well water filter finder pick a system?
It matches what you see, such as orange stains, a rotten-egg smell, tea-colored water, scale or grit, or the numbers on your water report, to the stage that treats each one. Stages go in treatment order, with iron ahead of the softener and UV last when bacteria is flagged. Then it sizes for your household and your busiest morning.
Can I use my water test report?
Yes. Tick what your report flags and type the numbers you have; every number is optional. When a result needs a closer look, such as nitrate, arsenic or a pH out of range, a specialist plans the stages with you instead of the finder picking a product.
What if I already have a softener or filter?
Tell us what's installed and whether it keeps up. We build on equipment that works and add only the stages your water still needs.
Do I need to know my flow rate?
No. Tell us how much water runs at once on a busy morning and we size from that. If you know your peak flow in gallons per minute, you can enter it.
Can I keep my match or send it to my plumber?
